Sir Alexander Fleming

I’m here with Sir Alexander Fleming to ask him about his life and his amazing discovery, Penicillin, and how it has help change the way people are treated for all sorts of bacterial infections.

Q. Hello sir I’ll start off with an easy one.
Where were you born?

A. Well I was born at Lochfield near Darvel in Airshire, Scotland on August 6th, 1881.

Q. At what age did you decided to study medicine and where did you do this?

A. It’s been such a long time but after attending St Mary’s medical School, London University and Qualifying with a distinction in 1906 I was 24. I studied under Sir Almroth Wright, whom was a pioneer in vaccine therapy that’s when I gained my M.B., B.S., with a gold medal in 1908; from there I became a lecturer at St Mary’s until 1914. “Not to bad if I do say so myself”.

Q. When and what made you decide to take the route of Microbiology?

A. It was early in my life, I became interested in the natural action of blood in antiseptics, what furthered this interest was being able to continue my studies throughout my military career. It was during this that I discovered in an important bacteriolytic substance which I named lysozyme.

Q. How did you come across penicillin?

A. I had observed that mould had developed accidentally on a staphylococcus culture plate and that the mould had created a bacteria-free circle around itself. I was inspired to further experiment and found that a mould culture prevented growth of staphylococci, even when diluted 800 times. I named this active substance penicillin.

Q. How do you feel that your discovery was taken?

A. A lot of well respected Dr’s expressed optimism that penicillin could be used as a disinfectant due to its high potency with minimal toxicity compared to other antiseptics of the day. But I remained convinced there was more to the strain.

The Enchanted Forest pg12

You walk through the gates Ahead of you, as you look around and take in the horror the smell of sulphur is overpowering, it feels like hell on earth.
You here a distant rumbling as you walk to the centre of this hell your fear is almost crippling, just then the Devil himself rises, the shadow engulfs you as this monster towers above.
You see a glint from the corner of you eye it’s the sword of Pythagoras and the Spear of Isosceles .

Do you fight with sword of Pythagoras?

or

Do you fight with the magic Spear of Isosceles ?

The Pain

My Girlfriend roped me in to going horse riding with her, and with some hessitation i thought yeah something new this should be fun.
When i got on the beast i realised finally why male Jockys wear tights., cause they would have no nuts and would never be able to father children if they didn't. here's me in baggy jogging bottoms and hadn't even moved on the horse yet. Just then this little 11 year old girl shouts walk on, and the horse stated moving whitch wasn't to bad, but then she turns to me and says "lets go for a canter" and starts running like like she's going for Gold, the pain on the nuts was unberable as they bounced off the saddel.
After what seemed like an eternity we came to a stop and jumped off the horse, Michelle shouted "wasn't that fun" i said yes it was Fantastic.
But for the rest of the day i was walking like John Wayne.

Balls

Two men are walking down the road and see a dog licking its balls.

The first man says: "Gee, I wish I could do that."

The second man replies: "Better pet him first. He might bite."

Do i belive in god

That’s what I was asked at the weekend while having a drink and chilling with the boys, and to be quite honest no I don’t believe in any so called god the world offers all religion is misleading in my view all the wars and troubles in the world today are mostly caused by religion.
I am a strong believer that Science Explains the creation of the universe "The Big Bang" but as Physicist say there are rules for everything, and that its because of these rules that everything that is.. Is.
But in my eyes if those rules are there, then who put them there in the first place so I do believe in something although I’m not sure what.
I would not agree with any one side we are far too small and have only been here a blink of an eye in terms of the universe life to presume we know anything to the contrary.
So basicaly i replyed No;)

My Joke for the week

A stranger was seated next to Little Johnny on the plane when the the
stranger turned to the Little Johnny and said, "Let's talk. I've heard
that flights will go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your
fellow passenger."
Little Johnny, who had just opened his book, closed it slowly, and said
to the stranger "What would you like to discuss?"
"Oh, I don't know," said the stranger. "How about nuclear power?"
"OK," said Little Johnny. "That could be an interesting topic. But let
me ask you a question first. "A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat
grass. The same stuff. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow
turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why
do you suppose that is?"
"Jeez," said the stranger. "I have no idea."
"Well, then," said Little Johnny, "How is it that you feel qualified to
discuss nuclear power when you don't know sh*t?"

My Favourite Album

Well i don't really have one because i love so much music but if i had to pick one it would be Definitley Maybe by Oasis which came out in 1992 and to this day is still one of the best albums i have ever listened to.

My favourite song on the album Is Live forever but not by much cause all thier tunes are fantastic.

One of the best experiances of my life was going to see them at Murryfield In 2000 the sheer volume of people who attended there gig was incredable and even though i was no where near the front i still had an amazing time!

Even after 15 years they are still one of the biggest bands to have come out of the UK and as long as they continue to make music i will listen to them!

South Park

Well what can i say south park is amazing!
People say that south park is just sensless toilet humour, and although i can see why some would think that they are still wrong, if they bothered to sit and watch properly what they are complaining about they would see that there is more to it.
The issue's they raise in south park may well seem wrong but at least they raise them and talk about them unlike every other show out there.
Also you will find that there are always two point's of good and bad in each episode.
In all even the people who apparently are ment to be the ones affended find the program incredibily funny.
Freedom of speech that what i say!!

Watching the UFC

I watched the UfC at the weekend on pay per view, the main fight for me on the night was Bisbing v Hamil. From the start it looked like Bisbing was going to lose in the first round when he took a heavty right hook from Hamil, but he managed to weather the storm and although he lost the first round he came back and won the following two rounds and ended up winning by desicion. But on the night the fighter i wanted to win and next time he fights he will deystroy him.
Fantastic!

Bob Marley

Get up Stand up what a tune! Marley was one of a kind a Ledgand and his music will be herd and loved for many generations to come.
My personal Favorite and probably one of his most herd is No Woman N0 Cry, i love the chilled out beats and the mellow gutaring not to mention great singing on his behalf.
I will always be a fan of the man and listen to his music for years to come!
